This book published originally under the title ‘The Legacy of Islam’ seeks to give an account of those elements in the culture of Europe which are derived from the Islamic World. The entire gamut of the components of Islamic Culture, which flourished under the protection and patronage of the Islamic Empire, during the medieval period has been studied in detail.
